We are open! Our new facility located at 7700 District Blvd. Bakersfield, California is now open. We are pouring a limited selection of Lengthwise beers until the 24 draft lines are complete. The soft opening (Monday, June 20) was a success, with very few bugs to work out. With 15,000 square feet to work with, we were able expand our restaurant and streamline our brewing area with plenty of room for future growth. Lots of new stainless steel. The dozens of huge skylights keeps everything well lit and cheery. Out front, people can enjoy our 9000 square foot beer garden with 1000 square feet of it under cover! The misters will be installed soon. Stop by for a visit- we think you’ll like it.
They say good design is in the details. Small things you might not notice until it’s pointed out to you. Like printed bottle caps. Our graphic designer Mike Willis at Willis Design Studios put a considerable amount of time into this seemingly small project. “I wanted to get the most out of that little bit of space”, says Willis, “I wanted it to be cool, project the brand, and make a statement, and keep the printing costs down.” After struggling with complicated designs he decided to keep it simple and bold. “The black cap looks good with any of their labels, and by utilizing their logo, it kept the bottle cap consistent with the rest of their brand.” Look for them in stores soon!

YELP-toberfest
Lengthwise was asked to participate in an official Yelp event… and they didn’t hold back! The special event was for Yelpers only and was limited to about 150 people who had to RSVP on Yelp for a chance to attend. “There’s no doubt that this is the best Yelp event to date”, said McKenzie Swisshelm, Community Ambassador for Yelp in Bakersfield. “The event was a blast and the party reviews reflect that the attendees have a ton of enthusiasm about returning in the near future.”
Lengthwise set up serving stations for each of their beers, so folks could do their own taste tests. The buffet was a big hit, and of course they had to have one of their famous roasted pigs on a spit. Inside, brew master Darin Schwicker lead small groups on brewery tours. A special thanks to Andrew Royalty for providing excellent music. Outside on the patio, people ate, drank and played intence games of Corn Hole and Giant Jenga. Thanks to all of volunteers who helped pull it off and the Yelp folks for reaching out to us.
“Fantastic evening, especially for some of us that had never been to this Lengthwise before! Love the patio!
Staff were all very friendly, there was never a line for samples of cold, local beer and the FOOD! Quite the spread, they went all out for us.” ~ Janna L. – Elite Yelper with 823 reviews
“The lengthwise staff was supper accommodating and friendly. The brewery tour was pretty cool and they answered several questions in depth which is pretty sweet.” ~ Aaron P. – Elite Yelper with 196 reviews
“This was by far the very best Yelp event of the year. The food was awesome and plentiful and the beer flowed like water. I have discovered that I love deep fried Twinkies and the pig was tender, moist and the best I have eaten in ages.” ~ Pat B. – Elite Yelper with 154 reviews

Jeff Williams of Lengthwise Brewing Company describes the lineup of bottled beers. This video was filmed at brewery. Beers tasted: Centennial Ale, Citra Simcoe Centennial Ale, Double Cent, Ale Ya, and Zeus Imperial Ale.
Double Cent
This double IPA is generously kettle hopped and dry hopped with Australian grown Galaxy hops. Galaxy hops add gentle citrus and passion fruit aromas and tastes. Unlike most DIPAs this beer finishes a little dryer which helps showcase the hop flavor. 8.5-9% ABV.
Zeus Imperial IPA
Mainly 2-row barley with a touch of 40L crystal malt. Zeus hops in the kettle and intense dry hopping with Citra hops in both the fermenter and bright beer tank imparts citrus and tropical fruit overtones.9.5- 10% ABV.
For the 11th year in a row, Lengthwise Brewery has been voted “Best Microbrew Selection” by the Bakersfield Californian. We would like to thank all of our fans of our microbrewery for taking the time to vote and for their continued support and patronage. In an effort to keep that title next year, we’ve rolled out some new flavors. The Double Cent and Zeus IPA are both proving to be hoppy favorites! Stop by for a cold one today.
